WELL-FIT Summer Biking – Trails, Track, Beach and Road!

Dan and I made a 40th birthday wish; to travel to Moab and mountain bike the incredible trails the outdoor adventure mecca of Moab offers. So, we didn’t let anything prevent us from staying Well-Fit! We live in an area that is easy to get outdoors, even as the pandemic tried to keep us in. Mountain biking through the warm months, to me, is the best Well-Fit activity to offer *back* your freedom and take you anywhere! Trails, track, beach and Road!

Even as the parking lot on many occasions was packed when we would pull in, the trails themselves were free flowing, beautiful and  always easy to social distance.

Our goal of getting to Moab even when we really weren’t sure as to when that would be, were only continued to be reinforced as we kept getting out to mountain bike. One day this summer, we received some positive affirmations from the universe! I have never seen the cactus in bloom in all the years we’ve been riding here. On this day, a bright very noticeable yellow flower! On the cactus trail. To me it was our sign that we were  going to the dessert! Moab, we hear you and we’re coming!

As for the track, that’s an easy Well-Fit way to keep moving. It’s in our backyard and the kids as well as myself love it!

Sunset rides, afternoon sunshine rides or even on cloudy evenings, loving it!

I have taken my bike out on the road to ride about a mile up to an outdoor vegetable stand. Little backpack with me, I fill up with Well-Fed nutrition and head back for dinner

And then, our annual LBI trip. Tons of bikes, everywhere! Beach cruisers and kids bikes. Through rows of flowers and along the bike path parallel to the beach, it’s summer at its best!

How many bicycles do you see? Seriously, everyone is on the bike riding trend. And that is the truth. Bikes are sold out and on backorder everywhere! From Forbes article found here forbes.com

This along with so many other outdoor/recreational equipment, from bikes to surf boards, skate boards and kayaks! If there is a positive to this pandemic, it’s people getting out, trying new things, doing that Well-Fit activity they’ve always wanted to try but maybe never had the time or the motivation or the urge. Now, it’s on!

Next post… Moab!
