My Whole Well-Being Nutrition, Wellness and Epigenetic Performance Coaching

Thank you for your interest in Nutrition, Wellness, Epigenetics (if you happen to come here by way of Health Performance Coaching) and more!

I offer Nutrition and Wellness consulting and coaching, providing meal guidance, meal and snack timing, macro breakdown, caloric intake based on your goals and staying in alignment with weekly movement suggestions. I am a Certified Epigenetic Performance Coach which up-levels the Nutrition and Wellness of my business to a whole next tier! By offering DNA analysis to reveal what your genes suggest you may (or may not) have a propensity towards I can greatly offer you actionable steps to get you from where you are right now to where you want to be.

To give you an idea, if you feel you have a drive towards more sweet foods or you don’t metabolize dairy well but feel fine enjoying bread, your DNA markers tell a story of what your genes are geared toward expressing, but that does not mean you don’t have control to take over and become the best version of yourself! Your genetic blueprint will show a wealth of information as guidance and I, as your Epigenetic Performance Coach, will go over the results, we’ll work together to create a meal plan and I’ll offer supplement suggestions. So much more is included, such as how to get your body detoxing better, what muscle fibers your genetic propensity reveals you’re more prone to utilize efficiently and how well your recovery time is from exercise. Hormones, sleep, nutrient absorption, metabolic pathways all aid in offering the plan to upgrade your health overall. Go to my website:

Since you’re here, I do want to welcome you to my original site and birthplace of my nutrition and wellness journey, My Whole Well-Being.

I created this site as a place to put out into the blogsphere ideas and experiences to live a life that is Well-Fit, Well-Fed and Well-Defined. It all contributes to My Whole Well-Being! Within my posts, I hope you find some inspiration, fitspiration, foodspiration and funspiration. All while enjoying life and embracing who you are. This site is not only everything that contributes to My Whole Well-Being, but YOUR Whole Well-Being! The world needs YOU to be authentically YOU! Happy, healthy and whole. So let’s work together on finding what makes you… you and what contributes to Your Whole Well-Being. I also have created an additional site, yourwholewellbeing.com, where I offer courses to guide you on your journey for Your Whole Well-Being. It’s still in the up and coming phases, but there are a few yoga classes available.

To introduce myself briefly, I love being outdoors, I love being active and I truly believe connecting with nature –> thus disconnecting with technology, is very good for one’s well-being. Those experiences and ideas can be found in the Well-Fit posts of this site. Hiking, running, swimming, yoga, mountain biking, having fun with the kids, gardening, ice skating, skiing, snowboarding, sleeping well, being well-rested and simply making time to get outside to unplug, meditate and sit with your thoughts, decluttering your mind. The options are endless. Opting outside, getting natural sunlight and fresh air at some time today doing it for your Well-Fit part of life contributes to Your Whole Well-Being.

I enjoy learning more about the health benefits of nutritious food and how to create flavorful recipes. I love eating healthy and I know the difference natural foods have on the body; I personally have experienced the negative side effects of eating unhealthy (along with lack of exercise and outdoor activities… and sleep!).This is the Well-Fed posts of this site. I have began referring Well-Fed more as Well-Nourished. The original Well-Fed comes from being a competitive college athlete and watching – mostly female- athletes deprive themselves of food to be thinner, doing so not so much for aesthetics, but believing weighing less would make for faster running times. I almost fell into this trap but fortunately I had many loved ones remind me being well-fed is the more ideal approach to fuel an athletes body for peak performance. You’ll find recipes that avoid and completely omit refined sugar while taking every effort to opt for organic food items, choosing local farm-to-table produce when it is possible. I am mostly gluten-free so never will you find any refined flour here but I have found better options that do contain gluten, such as for example einkorn wheat flour and I do feel a fantastic true sourdough bread is great as well. My journey of continued improvement is on-going. In the past I have enjoyed sprouted grain bread and I still believe it has health benefits, however for me personally I have removed it from my eating routine. This is where I understand each individual is unique, and you do need to consider what works for you, yourself. Simply knowing where all the food items, from vegetables, fruits, meat and fish, comes from is important. The options are endless here just as well.  There is no one diet for everyone, some need Lectin-Free while others might require Grain-Free or prefer a Vegan lifestyle. I do not emphasize any strict diet or some unrealistic “X amount of days” which will simply warrant you to going right back to bad eating habits afterwards. I refer to my meals as “plant-based” not because I don’t eat meat ( I do) but because I do enjoy a lot of vegetables! But, and this is where Epigenetic DNA testing comes into play, some individuals do NOT do well on an eating routine that is highly plant-based. There is something known as plant sterols and for some individuals, lots of vegetables can lead to plant sterol build-up, which in turn can even lead to heart health problems. This is why individual coaching is ideal. Understanding yourself is key. Your eating routine should always be what is natural to you and what allows you to thrive! Nutritiously Well-Fed for Your Whole Well-Being.

As I mentioned, I am now a Certified Epigenetic Performance Coach. Your DNA is not your destiny. We all can find the right Well-Nourished foods, the ideal Well-Fit activity, and understand exactly who we are by unlocking what impacts our genes; our environment, our eating routine, our toxic exposure and so much more. Obtaining a genetic blueprint is easy, using a simple saliva swab will reveal whether your DNA make-up has the potential for insulin resistance or gluten sensitivity, doing better with more complex carbohydrates and moderate protein, and how well we absorb certain nutrients. Our potential is truly limitless. Go to my business site SZENNX where I offer Epigenetic Performance Coaching to get started.

Most importantly, I know who I am! I know my past experiences, my successes, my (many) failures, my capabilities, my strengths, my weaknesses, my fears, my love and my goals. I know how to live in the present. I am so very grateful for what my life has entailed and everything that has led me here today. I make a promise to myself, every day, to never take for granted the good that is all around; from my family, my health, my home, my daily life decisions, my spiritual beliefs and my social interactions. Those aspects of life will be shared in the Well-Defined posts. I hope to contribute more to that side of this blogsite, filled with reflection of knowing where you are in life, who you are, those that are there for you and what your own responsibilities as a person are to others. And realizing that yes, it is always necessary to plan and dream with a positive outlook for the future, but to not do so too eagerly; the present is where everything is happening. And it’s happening right now. Unplug, look around, be involved in the great wide world that is alive right now right in front of you! And engage in it, fully. Being in the present, the right now, will plant the seeds for tomorrow, growing a better future. All of it will contribute greatly to Your Whole Well-Being.

So here’s to living a healthy, happy, fit and flourishing lifestyle! Well-Fit, Well-Nourished and Well-Defined for Your Whole Well-Being!
