Sometimes I need a breakfast meal that’s energizing but not packed with a bunch of sugar like cereal is. I do love eggs, but if I’m just not in the mood for eggs, one of my favorite fall-backs is frozen bananas, almond butter and of course, coffee! It’s a perfect energy booster for the day, a great snack and a good boost before a workout or a run!
First begin with a frozen banana! You can just put them right into the freezer as is, or you can peel them and put in a freezer bag which does make it easiest when you’re ready to eat!
If the frozen banana has its peel still on it, I use a nice knife to cut off the peeling in sections, then I cut the banana into pieces.
Place in bowl then add as much Almond Butter or Peanut Butter or both as you like! I sometimes sprinkle it with Chai/Flaxseed for added boost!
When it comes to choosing Almond Butter or Peanut Butter, the best is just that, only almonds made into butter! Only Peanuts made into butter, no added sugar! No need! It tastes so good the way it is, why bother with adding stuff!? Don’t fix it, it’s not broke!
