I truly believe connecting with nature –> and disconnecting with technology every so often, is very good for one’s well-being. Those experiences and ideas can be found in the Well-Fit posts of this site! Hiking, running, yoga, mountain biking, swimming, having fun with the kids, gardening, ice skating, skiing, snowboarding, sleeping well, being well-rested and simply making time to get outside to unplug and meditate while clearing your mind! The options are endless, just get out there at some time today and do something for your Well-Fit part of life and contribute to Your Whole Well-Being!
I also love eating healthy and I know the difference natural foods have on the body; I personally have experienced the negative side effects of eating unhealthy (along with lack of exercise and outdoor activities… and sleep). I love to learn more about the health benefits of nutritious food and how to create flavorful recipes that I will always share here on this site. I am a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant, I have recently completed 200 HR Yoga Teacher Training to be a Registered by Yoga Alliance RYT and a BIG step is I am now a Certified Epigenetic Performance Coach! Here in my lifestyle site, you will find the eating healthy posts along with nutritious recipes found in the Well-Fed section. Well-Nourished while also being satisfied and Well-Fed. No unrealistic caloric restriction as you thrive in this beautiful bountiful world! You will find recipes that avoid and completely omit refined sugar while taking every effort to opt for organic food items, choosing local farm-to-table produce. I live in a fantastic area that offers so many fresh farm vegetables and fruits near my home with CSA options and a farmer’s market every week. Simply knowing where all the food items comes from, not only the vegetables/fruits but also the meat and fish, is important. I do take out what I call the TRASH foods, but this isn’t a limiting action. The delicious healthy food options still available to you are incredible and plentiful. No strict diet or some unrealistic “X amount of days” which will simply warrant you to going right back to bad eating habits afterwards. Just choose your next snack or meal to be a Well-Nourished meal, using all natural and healthy ingredients. By doing so you’ll soon realize it’s not that difficult and you’ll be one meal healthier than you were before, contributing to Your Whole Well-Being.
Most importantly, I know who I am. My past experiences, my successes, my failures, my capabilities, my strengths, my weaknesses, my fears, my love and my goals. I know I’ve made some bad decisions here and there but I also realize those were the learning curves I was meant to experience as my soul navigates this Earth. I know how to live in the present. I am so very grateful for what my life has entailed and everything that has led me here today. I make a promise to myself, every day, to never take for granted the good that is all around; from my family, my health, my home, my daily life decisions, my spiritual and religious beliefs and my social interactions! Those aspects of life will be shared in the Well-Defined posts. Reflection of knowing where you are in life, who you are. Knowing those that are there for you and what your own responsibilities as a person are to others. And realizing that yes, it is always necessary to plan and dream with a positive outlook for the future, but to not do so too eagerly; the present is where everything is happening. And it’s happening right now. Unplug, look around, be involved in the great wide world that is alive right now right in front of you. And engage in it, fully. Being in the present, the right now, will plant the seeds for tomorrow, growing a better future. All of it will contribute greatly to Your Whole Well-Being!
