Our Disney trip was complete thanks to the Wyndham Bonnet Creek Resort having availability in short notice! And thanks to the fact that this resort is fantastic! The last time my husband and I went to Disney World was in 2014 and we stayed at Disney’s Grand Floridian. Obviously, The Floridian is top notch and very nice. But I have to say, when we make our plans to go back to Disney, which we’re hoping to do so in 2018, we very well might stay in the Wyndham again!
It’s located within the Disney World Park area, it’s not a Disney Resort, but having its location where it is makes it easily accessible to all Disney Parks!
The resort staff was super friendly, the resort overall was clean and beautiful. And our view from our room was perfect! You can see one of the pools below, it is a zero-entry pool which is perfect when having a young fearless one year old. When a pool only has steps and then the sides go right into 3′ + deep water, it’s nerve-wracking. I can never just sit and have her walk freely and be her independent self, I have to be RIGHT THERE at every moment because she’ll jump right in. With the zero-entry she can splash and play right in the water, going in, coming back out, playing with Nico. It’s the best!
The Resort has five pools and two lazy rivers! The layout is perfect, allowing for a nice walk along a lake to another “kids” pool where there was a pirate ship and a tube slide! Nico attempted it, going up the stairs, but seconds later we saw him walking back down the stairs. Wasn’t too sure about the darkness of it.
The Lazy River was more his speed! He went around and around and around. At the Lazy River entrance is also a zero-entry as well which made it fun for Kali as she waited for Nico to return.
Every day after being at the park, we came back a bit early in the afternoon so we had enough time to swim and enjoy the Florida warmth and sunshine at the pool! Daddy teaching this little girl how to swim!
There is also a play area with cornhole, a little throw-back to college tailgating days right there!
And a giant connect-four!
I had Nico take our picture as we reminisce about our college days!
He took a ton and took forever… but it’s good to take pics! And I wrote a blog about taking a pic to help you see where you’re at physically! It’s a good thing to do!
I have to take a sweet pic of this little girl in her little island dress Aunt Annie got for her! Adorable! She’s only one and so used to me taking her pic, she goes and stands, poses and waits.
Behind Kali is a restaurant and bar you can order dinner pool-side and have drinks. Pricey I must say and not the best quality food for the price to be honest. They could do better.
The Florida evenings were still warm and the kids could play! The sunsets were stunning!
And when it would become night and a bit chilly, the hot tub was perfect! Nico in the hot tub here with a couple young girls!
The rooms were comfortable, clean and on our last night we had a dance party using a blinking Mickey Mouse wand and music from our phones! We like to party!
And from our balcony we could see the fireworks!
Kali approves!!!
