Looking for a different but healthy snack to crunch on come mid-afternoon? Or maybe something to add to salads or have in a healthy bowl? Roast up some Garbanzo Beans and add your own flavor. Well-Fed nutrition, plant-protein and a nice flavorful crunch!
Drain and then rinse the beans. Pat with a dry paper towel so they nice and dry.
Next, pour into a baking dish and making sure they’re nice and dry so they roast to a crunch, add a touch of olive oil, then herbs of oregano and or basil. Salt & pepper and this is where you make it your own. Garlic powder and cayenne if you want a spicy bite! Turmeric and black pepper for some added anti-inflammatory benefit!
I like them with a mediterranean flavor; garlic, oregano and olive oil, salt & pepper and bit of cumin. You can roast them in the baking dish or add them to a foil lined or parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Roast at 350F for about 25 mins.
Nice and crunchy and perfect out of the oven!
I add them onto salads or into an egg and greens bowl!
